Office of Student Life: Services for Students With Disabilities

The University of California, San Francisco is committed to providing equal
access to all of its programs, services, and activities for students with
disabilities. The Office of Student Life (OSL) coordinates services for students
with permanent and temporary disabilities.
The Office of Student Life staff is available to assist students with disabilities
in meeting their education challenges successfully. Students are encouraged to
contact OSL in a timely manner to learn how services complement your

Essential Functions Performed by CPE Students Include:

On-call Shifts: Staying in-house overnight up to once per week, responding to
code-blues within 5 minutes, managing a 24-hour shift.
Stress Debriefings: Participating in critical incident stress debriefings for staff
on need basis outside of regular work hours (Compensation time given).
Computer: Basic computer skills required for electronic charting.
Homework: Completing of assigned readings and writing papers on graduate
level.
Clinical Work: Providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, families
and staff. Functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team.  Minister
effectively to families at the time of death and accompany families to viewings
of their deceased loved one.

Class
room Learning: Participating in group and individual learning activities.
Campus: Navigating large Medical Center campus, including getting to and
from a variety of classrooms and patient care locations throughout the Medical
Center, Medical School, Nursing School and UCSF Mt. Zion campus.
